Suggested Class Progression

Students who wish to take Career Technical Center classes in Junior and/or Senior Year should be sure to take the highly suggested classes in their freshmen and sophomore year.  Also, failing classes in any year could prevent a student from taking Career Technical Center classes in the future.

8th Grade
Required for High School Credit:
Spanish 1
Earth Science

9th Grade
Required:
Algebra 
Biology
English Language Arts 9
Spanish II (or plan for a Career Tech Program or second credit of Visual Performing Arts)
World History

Highly Suggested:
Visual Performing Arts (Art, Band, Choir, Shop)
Physical Education- 1 semester

10th Grade

Economics- 1 semester
English Language Arts 10
Geometry
Health- 1 semester
Science (Physical Science (Formerly Foundations of Physics/Chemitry) for most or Chemistry)

Physical Education (1 semester) and Visual Performing Arts if not completed in freshmen year.

11th Grade
